The Kandinsky Cycle
“The Kandinsky Cycle” is a variable piece of several short works for trumpet, guitar, and keyboard which are chosen by having audience members draw cards with various prompts from Kandinsky’s essay “On the Spiritual In Art” where he lists several objects. Each one of these objects inspired a piece of the cycle. The performer must also wear a piece of canvas in a frame with small holes for mouth and eyes while performing the piece.
