An old friend invited me to play a small show in a basement in Brooklyn, so I recorded myself talking about my relationship to such spaces and my thoughts and hopes for this new DIY space into a small hand-held recorder. Then for the show, played that tape back, accompanying it with instrumental sounds from small instruments.
